Second Annual PAI / Little Smiles Bowl-A-Thon
Well, we did it and we did it BIG!!!!! Huge congratulations are in order for everyone who helped make this year's Little Smiles Bowl-a-thon a tremendous success. If you recall, last year our company wanted to become a little more active in the community so we decided to help support Little Smiles, a local non-profit charity organization. For those of you that don't know, Little Smiles is all about putting smiles back on the faces of sick and recovering children in local hospitals. Little Smiles in a way is like a "mini make-a-whish foundation"… They are totally hands on and truly understand just how important the little things really are.
Last year being the inaugural event we really didn't know what to except or what we were fully capable of as far as the money raising went... With the help of many company volunteers we were able to hand over a check to Little Smiles for $11,000.00. (...INSERT DRUM ROLL HERE...) This year on August 25th 2007 when the dust had finally settled and the last gutter ball was thrown (By Bill and Michael of course) PAI, friends and family had the honor of presenting Little Smiles with a check for $20,000. The coolest part about this is that every penny of that will go directly into the hands of the children, the children’s family and the nurses who need it most.
An awful lot of time, hard work and planning went in to this event and for everyone who helped make it the success that it was here are just some of the comments that came from the Little Smiles Board of Directors after they heard the news:
